Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Barbara Rwodzi has been nominated for the Unstoppable Cabinet Minister of the Year 2026 Award at the Unstoppable African Awards.
Minister Rwodzi is among distinguished Cabinet Ministers from across Africa nominated for the prestigious award, which recognises leaders whose administrative reforms, policy implementation and development initiatives are making a difference in their countries and communities.
The nomination adds to a number of accolades received by Minister Rwodzi in recognition of her leadership in the tourism sector.
She recently won the Women in Leadership Award at the Africa Tourism Leadership Awards (ATLF) 2026, held in Polokwane, South Africa, where her contribution to advancing Zimbabwe’s tourism agenda was recognised.
Minister Rwodzi was also named Zimbabwe’s overall best-performing Cabinet Minister for 2025, adding to her growing list of local and international accolades.
Her nomination comes as Zimbabwe continues to promote tourism through heritage-based tourism, destination marketing, investment and community participation.
The Unstoppable African Awards seek to recognise African leaders and individuals whose work is contributing to development, innovation and progress across the continent.
The Unstoppable Cabinet Minister of the Year category focuses on ministers whose leadership and initiatives are delivering tangible results for their nations and communities.
Minister Rwodzi’s nomination places her among ministers from across Africa being recognised for their work in public service.
