Philanthropist Dr Justice Mhishi has surpassed his target of donating 200 wheelchairs to people living with disabilities across Zimbabwe, saying his passion to give back to communities continues to drive his charitable work.
Through the Justice Mhishi Foundation, the philanthropist has been on a nationwide drive to provide wheelchairs to people with disabilities, improving their quality of life and restoring dignity to many beneficiaries.
Having initially set a target of donating 200 wheelchairs, Mhishi has now exceeded that goal, with beneficiaries spread across several communities including Stoneridge, Epworth, Chitungwiza, Hatcliffe, Kambuzuma, Shamva, Gweru and Bulawayo.
Speaking on the milestone, Mhishi said his work was inspired by a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable members of society.
“I have given more than 200 wheelchairs now in Stoneridge, Epworth, Chitungwiza, Hatcliffe, Kambuzuma, Shamva, Gweru and Bulawayo,” Mhishi.
He said the donations were not about recognition, but about bringing hope and support to people facing mobility challenges.

“I am doing this out of passion and the desire to give back to people with disabilities. Seeing the smiles on the faces of beneficiaries and their families gives me satisfaction and encourages me to continue,” he said.
He Mhishi added that despite reaching the 200-wheelchair mark, his mission was far from over.
“Reaching this milestone does not mean the journey has ended. There are still many people who need assistance and I will continue supporting them whenever resources permit,” he said.

The wheelchair donation programme has touched the lives of hundreds of people, many of whom previously struggled to move around and access essential services.
Community members and beneficiaries have commended Mhishi for his continued commitment to uplifting disadvantaged groups, describing the initiative as a life-changing intervention.

As the charitable drive continues, Dr Mhishi remains committed to extending a helping hand to more people living with disabilities, reaffirming his belief that giving back to society is a responsibility that should be embraced by those who are able to do so.You can also add a beneficiary quote or a quote from a disability rights advocate to give the story even more depth and balance.
