Palestinian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Dr Tamer Almassri
BY MUNYARADZI BLESSING DOMA
Ambassador Tamer AAlmassri has strongly ccondemned he ongoing and relentless bombardment of Gaza by Israeli forces, which has tragically resulted in the deaths of at least 51 Palestinians, including six innocent children and several police officers.
Ambassador Almassri said this horrendous violence is a continued violation of the established ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
He reiterated that the people in Gaza deserve more than a pause in violence; they deserve a genuine, permanent ceasefire.
“We demand an immediate end to this genocidal war, a total cessation of ceasefire violations, and a definitive end to the occupation.
“To date, the death toll attributed to Israel’s aggression has soared to an alarming 71,795 Palestinians killed and 171,551 injured since the onset of the assault in October 2023. “Shockingly, since the ceasefire was ostensibly put into effect on October 11, 2025, there has been a further increase in casualties, with 523 individuals killed and 1,433 injuries recorded.
“The international community must move beyond rhetoric to ensure the protection of Palestinian lives, intervene, hold violators accountable, and work collaboratively towards sustainable peace in the region,” said Ambassador Almassri.
