PR professionals shine at the 2025 7th IPRCZ Awards

The Institute of Public Relations and Communications Zimbabwe (IPRCZ) celebrated excellence in the field of public relations at its 7th annual awards ceremony held last night at the Monomotapa Hotel, under the theme ’transforming industries through communication’.

The 2025 IPRCZ Awards, also combined the graduation of Chartered PR professionals, recognized outstanding campaigns, innovative strategies and the exceptional individuals who are shaping the future of the PR industry in Zimbabwe.

The award ceremony, attended by leading PR professionals, business leaders, and government officials, showcased the remarkable talent and dedication within the Zimbabwean PR landscape.

This year’s awards highlighted the evolving role of PR in a rapidly changing media environment, emphasizing the importance of ethical practices, strategic communication, and leadership development.

The guest of honour Professor Ruby Magosvongwe,  highlighted that public relations is more than just being a messenger conveyor, but rather a key function in building and maintaining a brand.

“In an interconnected world, where information flows rapidly and perceptions shape realities, effective communication and strategic public relations are more than just tools, they are the foundations of trust, credibility, and sustainable growth,” she said.

She urged PR and communication practitioners to push forward and remain committed in bridging corporates with its stakeholders.

“Communication is the bridge that connects ideas to action, innovation to implementation, and individuals to collective progress,” said Prof Magosvongwe.

Professor Magosvongwe congratulated PR practitioners who graduated at the ceremony and confered with Chartered PR professionals.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt congratulations to our Chartered PR Practitioners. Your dedication, professionalism, and mastery of the craft serve as a shining example of excellence in our field.

“Your achievements not only elevate the standards of public relations but also inspire aspiring practitioners to aim higher and serve with integrity,” Professor Magosvongwe said.
