The office of the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Honourable Marion Chombo has announced the Mashonaland West Investment Conference scheduled for July 9-10 2025 at the Tamarind Resort in Kariba.
Addressing journalists on behalf of Hon Chombo at a press conference in Chinhoyi on Thursday, the Director of Economic Affairs and Investment, Douglas Chiwiro revealed that the conference which is expected to unlock Mashonaland West’s investment potential, will be attended by over 300 high-level policy makers, business leaders, local and international investors and development partners.
The conference which will focus on energy development, mining, critical infrastructure, investment sectors and value addition in agriculture and mining, has attracted investors from across the African globe, Asia and the European Union.
Chiwiro encouraged Zimbabweans in the diaspora to participate virtually thus acknowledging their contribution to the economy.
Running under the theme “Driving Growth Through Energy, Value Addition and Infrastructure” the upcoming conference has seen local authorities who include Makonde RDC, Zvimba, Chegutu presenting investment opportunities in their councils.
Mashonaland West Province with its rich endowment of natural resources, is poised to become a significant key player in Zimbabwe’s economic development.
