Palestinian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Dr Tamer Almassri has strongly condemned the continued genocide committed by the Israel occupation, further calling for immediate and robust international intervention.

Dr Almassri said it was appalling that some of the Israeli leaders admitted that the occupation army is “killing Palestinian children as a hobby” in Gaza.

In a statement, Ambassador Almassri said : “this chilling admission of mass war crimes lay bare the genocidal intent behind the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

“This horrific rhetoric serves as irrefutable proof to the world that the apartheid state of Israel is indeed committing genocide, as the international community watches, largely without decisive action.

“Since October 2023, Israel has systematically killed more than 53,000 Palestinians in Gaza, the vast majority of whom are innocent women and children.

“The humanitarian catastrophe continues to worsen with each passing hour. More than 14,000 babies are at imminent risk of death if life-saving supplies are not immediately allowed into the besieged Strip.

“Despite this dire reality, Israel continues its policy of denying crucial aid amidst relentless bombing and the deliberate killing of Palestinian civilians.”

He added that, “the State of Palestine reiterates its urgent call for immediate and robust international intervention to halt these atrocities.

“The world must not remain silent in the face of such clear violations of international law and human decency. Accountability for these heinous acts is paramount to upholding justice and preventing further loss of innocent lives,” he added.
